Letter from the Pastor
Dear Friends,
It is my good pleasure to welcome you to the Olathe Community of Christ. On behalf of the 350 members, let me take a few moments to explain why many call Olathe their home congregation.
It is with thankfulness that we have a group of committed disciples who feel called to be in service to their God. As a community of believers, our goal is to journey together in faith to provide those ministries of love that God has called us to. Our mission statement in Olathe says it best:
“We proclaim the peace of Jesus Christ and invite all to fellowship, worship, learn and serve as we journey together, celebrating our diversity and our unity.”
As God’s people, we share the joys and the sorrows of life, and celebrate with God as we faithfully journey together. Our purpose is to create sacred community wherein our faith is lived out as disciples of Jesus Christ.
Let me invite you to come and fellowship, worship, learn and serve with men, women, boys and girls who enjoy the community that this fellowship brings. It is my hope that God will bless you abundantly and that your experience with Olathe Community of Christ will provide you with a place you can call home.
As you read through the pages of this website, take a look at the variety of ministries provided in Olathe. There are ministries for everyone to share in. I hope you will be engaged by something you read; moreover, I hope that God’s Holy Spirit will touch your heart and that you will feel the urge to come and see for yourself.
If you are a young adult or if you are a family with small children, there is a place for you. Come and see.
