The mission of SPECTACULAR is to create a safe, Christ-centered community that encourages young women and men to discover God, their inherent worth, and cultivate and express their giftedness.

Spectacular will be the week of July 24-31, 2010 this year. The theme is REVOLUTIONARY.

Junior Event - Monkey Business

We are going to Monkey Buziness for some fun after the Mexican Fiesta Campership Fundraiser on Sunday, April 25th! Parents can pick their kids up at Monkey Buziness in Olathe at the Great Mall at 2:30 P.M. Every child must have socks, a signed wavier, and an event release form. Go to the Monkey Business website to print the wavier. Event release forms are available at church.

Bring a friend, or a few friends! The more the merrier!!! RSVP to Jason or Brooke Trachsel if you are planning to attend!

Youth Team Work Day

Attention ALL YOUTH! Sunday, May 2nd we’re having a youth work day at the church after the morning worship service. Bring work clothes to change into. Lunch will be served. Please sign up on the Youth bulletin board by April 25th if you plan to attend. Parents are more than welcome to help too!

Jr. High/Sr. High Rally & Work Day at Chihowa

Mark your calendars for the Jr. High/Sr. High rally and work day at Chihowa, April 23-24. We’ll meet at church Friday evening and head to Chihowa for a Midlands Mission Center rally Friday night and work day on Saturday. If you are planning to attend a summer camp, this is your chance to give back to the MMC and help improve the campgrounds. RSVP to Aaron Gill by April 18th.

Youth Campership for 2010

Attention Campers!

The Mexican Fiesta Campership Fundraiser poster is on the Youth Bulletin board!

Kids attending camps, with Olathe Community of Christ memeberships, who wish to receive money from this fundraiser to apply towards all camps they will be attending in 2010 MUST be signed up by April 18, 2010. Money raised will be divided evenly by the number of camps signed up for.

It is expected that campers participate in this fundraiser to receive the campership. If there is a scheduling conflict, contact Justin or Rebecca Franklin to make arrangements to participate in a church service project.

Sr. High Activity - Dave & Busters

Sunday, January 31st the Sr. High are going to Dave & Buster’s!

We’ll leave right after church. The cost is $5.00 plus money for a fast food lunch on the way. Bring your friends!
